I'm sorry for the lack of entries to this blog recently. Then again, maybe you enjoyed the break!

I will be putting this blog on hold from now through the month of December. This is the busy time for me in my art business, and boy I am much busier this year because many people waited as late as they could to order their custom pencil portrait gift. I don't want to let them down, so I will need to hold off on some of my other interests like this blog.

I'll miss blogging about all the fascinating Snellville City Council squabbles like this one, but I'm sure there will be more exciting action in 2009.

I'll catch up with you in 2009! Have a happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas.

When I get back, I will list the people that Snellville lost in 2008.
We will be able to comment and share condolences to the families.

New London Theatre Craft Fair Saturday

The New London Theatre of Snellville will hold a craft/art fair festival on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 9 am until 4 pm.

This is a fundraising event for the theatre. Come and check out all the talented people we have in Snellville and support our local arts.

The New London Theatre is located in the shopping center at the corner of US78 and Scenic Hwy/124 in Snellville. It is in the same shopping center as Big Lots and Provino's. The Theatre is located in the corner of the shopping plaza. You'll find it, there will probably be a lot of people there. Don't miss it!

Snellville Holiday Closings

All Snellville City offices (with the exception of emergency services) will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Recycling Center will also be closed on Saturday, November 29.

Snellville’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on Monday, December 1, at 7:00 pm at Snellville City Hall.

Come visit Santa and enjoy Christmas music from special guests Nick Pallas, South Gwinnett High School, Snellville Middle School and Britt Elementary School. We will also have a special performance from Snellville’s own Clogging Connection.

Marine Corps representatives will be present to accept toy and monetary donations for Toys for Tots. Refreshments will be served by the Snellville Keenager Club. Don’t miss this opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit!
